Skye would often wake to her father standing over her bed, gun in hand, staring at her with a vacant expression. He would say nothing, do nothing, just watch her - and then eventually leave. This happened many times throughout her life; usually on her birthday. She even heard him whisper once, calling her a monster, an abomination.
Finally, she discovered why, and not only did his actions make sense, but she found herself agreeing with him.
