Thurk returns in this next installment of the Orc Ranger series. This time, he must travel to the city of New Stad in order to track down the cause behind a rash of explosions occurring throughout the boroughs.

Once there, he meets the police commissioner of New Stad, a young woman by the name of Janette Blanca. Janette is hell-bent on solving the crimes in her city, as well as combating the vicious gangs which control it.

When Thurk and his allies discover that an infamous gang leader known as the Rat King is trying to weaponize the lost art of magic, it is a race against the clock to stop him before it is too late.

Will Thurk and his companions manage to thwart the Rat King and save the city? And, if so, at what cost?
